One way to simplify lesson planning, particularly in dojos where there are multiple instructors - is to post a list of techniques - one technique for each class session per month. Labeled "First Tuesday", "Third Thursday", etc., - each day is assigned a specific technique - ikkyo, nikkyo, kote gaeshi, etc.. Since such a list is not specific to any month, it can be useful all year round, and serves to make sure all the major techniques get covered, and that students get a chance to work on each technique every month - gradually getting better and better at each one.
